Howard County Health Department Updates
Updated COVID-19 Bivalent Booster
The Moderna (18 and older) and Pfizer (12 and older) Omicron-specific COVID-19 booster shots have been authorized and the Howard County Health Department began offering a limited supply of this updated vaccine at clinics. Appointments are available using the calendar. As the Health Department receives more supply of the updated vaccine, additional appointments will be made available.

Vaccine is also available at local pharmacies, urgent care centers, and retail stores. Visit the Maryland Vaccine Locater to find a vaccination location convenient to you.
Monkeypox Vaccine Eligibility/Interest Survey
Howard County Health Department (HCHD) currently has a limited supply of the JYNNEOS (Monkeypox) vaccine provided by the Maryland Department of Health (MDH). This is the vaccine currently used for those exposed to Monkeypox (MPX). Vaccine is currently only available to identified individuals who are at greatest risk for infection. Coalition members are asked to share the survey link with those who may be eligible for vaccination.

Filling out the survey does not guarantee vaccination within a certain time period. However, the Howard County Health Department will contact those who are interested and eligible for a vaccination appointment as doses become available.
