South Central TN Tourism Association needs your help for Small Businesses during the COVID-19 crisis.
South Central Tennessee Tourism supports Stay Home and Stay Safe during Covid-19. We all know that we should only get out for the essentials before returning home, and we want to help our local small businesses in a responsible way by making it easier for you to support them. As South Central TN Tourism Association’s director Rene Lance says, “First and foremost, we want people to be safe during this time and being safe means staying home as much as you can. We understand that people have to eat and they need to get supplies, so we wanted to make it easier for people to support the local businesses that are the backbone of our communities."
To help find these local businesses the
South Central Tennessee Tourism Association has set up an online resource listing @

that highlights businesses that are adapting to make sure you can get the things you need, in a responsible way. The effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have been immediate for small businesses, and especially within the tourism, hospitality and restaurant industries. In unprecedented times like this, it is important to support the people and businesses that make up our community, so they will still be there when life returns to normal.
What does that mean for us here in rural Tennessee? Rural communities across Southern Middle Tennessee have an investment in locally owned businesses. In addition to supplying meals, essential needs and jobs to our communities, these local shops, groceries, wineries, distilleries and restaurants, also draw visitors that help form the tax base for schools and local government. You can help them and our community by shopping online or calling ahead and running by for a contactless pick up for your essentials. Supporting local small business supports your neighbors and your community.
