We are excited to introduce Andrea Oswald, General Director - Supplier Diversity and Procurement Operations at Union Pacific (UP). Union Pacific is one of SMSDC's newest local corporate members and Ms. Oswald will give an oversight on UP's current purchasing needs and how to do business with UP. Don't miss out!
Andrea Oswald is the General Director – Supplier Diversity and Procurement Operations at Union Pacific Railroad, a position she has held since September 2020. In her position, Oswald and her team support initiatives to identify and develop new diverse suppliers for UP’s $5 billion procurement program. The team has a goal to increase diverse supplier spending by 25% in 2021. 

Oswald began her career with Union Pacific in 2003. She held multiple positions in the Finance Department including Director – Accounting before moving to the Supply Chain Department in December 2019. She is graduate of UP’s Leadership Development Program. She is also a member of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Business Dean’s Young Alumni Board.   

Oswald graduated from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2003 with a bachelor’s degree in finance.

HUB Informational Session
The Statewide HUB program is in the process of transitioning from a manual certification review process to an online certification system. Texas MBEs recertifying between April 15th - June 27th may be effected with this transition.

Maya Ingram, HUB Program Manager, will answer any questions you may have regarding the Statewide HUB transitional period.
With over 14 years of state service and 23 years of legislative and consulting services, Maya Ingram, as the current Manager of the Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) Program at the Comptroller of Public Accounts, leads the program in education, outreach and small business certifications to build new procurement partnerships between the state entities and the certified HUBs.
