About Atlanta Lions Club
The Atlanta Lions Club is one of over 48,000 Lions clubs worldwide. We have been serving the Atlanta area since we were founded over 100 years ago in 1920 as the first Lions Club in the state of Georgia. We are a diverse group of fun, service-oriented and community-oriented people who live or work in metro Atlanta and who want to make a difference.
Key projects include organizing, fundraising and volunteering for:
- Lions International Youth Exchange Program
- Building World Peace One Student at a Time
- Georgia Lions Lighthouse Foundation
- Bringing individuals into a world of sight and sound
- Georgia Lions Camp
- Learning opportunities for visually impaired children, youth, and adults
- Leader Dogs for the Blind
- Giving a life of independence, confidence & companionship
- Young Generation Movement (YGM)
-
Mentoring and challenging our vulnerable youth.
- Working with other Georgia Lions on a variety of service, fundraising, educational, and having just plain fun social activities.
Our club meetings are generally every second and fourth Thursday for a speaker luncheon at the Peachtree Club in midtown Atlanta. We have great speakers and fantastic food. Guests are always welcome.
