Statistics show that lawyers are experimenting with artificial intelligence programs such as ChatGPT. Jeff Schoenberger, senior consultant with Affinity Consulting, our partner in the VBA Practice Management Advisor program, warns that the program, while useful for generating a first draft, still needs a good editor. And don’t necessarily trust - but definitely verify - ChatGPT’s case citations. (Affinity Consulting)

A just-released survey on law firm culture, conducted by Major, Lindsey & Africa, finds a strong desire for mentorship and training at law firms. JDJournal reports that transparency over pay and major firm decisions ranks high as well. The survey also found a noticeable divide between partners and associates over issues of work-life balance.
