How do we facilitate the creative process?

There are so many factors that influence the way that a structured creative thinking process unfolds that it's not surprising that every now and then the process seems to get, well..... just stuck. It's not always the easiest thing to address these factors directly, you may not be able to change the working environment, or make sure that people get sufficient sleep, or even provide all the data that the process warrants, but, as a facilitator, your intervention can be critical in ensuring that the result is a positive one. So what's available to you as effective unblocking approaches? Click below for a free checklist that might help your groups develop a coherent presentation of their creative ideas

Workshops

We have been asked by many clients over many years to design engaging and effective Workshops on a wide variety of topics - while this is still a key part of our Learning Design Consulting Service, we have also used this expertise to create a small suite of standard Workshops that will allow any competent trainer to deliver a flexible 1 day Workshop. They include all the materials they need to deliver the Workshop - and like our individual products these Workshops require no trainer training, certification, license fees or consumables.

To promote the IAF annual Global facilitation week (16th to 22nd October) we are reducing prices on two of our most popular Workshop products:

  • Breakthrough Thinking Workshop
This workshop contains everything required by an independent or in-house trainer or facilitator to work on building key skills in creativity, problem solving and innovation in groups - and then applying them to their real-world problems.

  • Developing Others Through Coaching This workshop is designed to help build coaching skills in people managers, learning & development professionals, managers, supervisors or team leaders. They use these skills help to notice people's skills, abilities and potential, discriminating between good and excellent performance and improving the performance of those who are struggling in particular areas.
