At Child Crisis Arizona, our mission to protect Arizona’s most vulnerable children and strengthen families remains steadfast. Our comprehensive programming, ranging from educational initiatives and prevention programming to medical and wellness services, are the cornerstone of our efforts. Today, we are excited to share how our programs are making a profound impact on the lives of children and families in our community.

Celebrating the Class of 2024!

Education is a powerful tool that can change lives and shape futures. At Child Crisis Arizona, we offer a variety of educational programs designed to empower children and families. This month we’re highlighting our Preschool program. With locations in Mesa and Phoenix, serving families at 100-200% below the federal poverty line – we are ensuring that the next generation is equipped with the knowledge and resources to walk a brighter path towards success. Last year alone, this program served 265 unduplicated individuals.

Each year, we celebrate the preschoolers who advance to kindergarten with a special graduation ceremony, and this year, we want to showcase a few of bright young graduates:

Nurturing Healthy Lives

In addition to education, health and wellness are fundamental to the well-being of children and families. Our medical and wellness programs are designed to address both immediate needs and long-term health.

One of these programs is Whispering Hope Ranch, which welcomes children, youth and adults with specials needs, compromised medical conditions and those healing from grief, abuse or trauma. Whispering Hope Ranch provides campers with a week of carefree recreation and a sense of belonging. Every camp includes volunteer physicians, nurses, caretakers, and adapted equipment to ensure the campers can safely enjoy their stay.

Some of our camp partners include:

Camp Patrick – For children and teens growing up with Spina Bifida.

Camp Sunrise & Sidekicks - Southwest Kids Cancer Foundation Camp for pediatric cancer patients, survivors and their siblings.

Camp Promise - Jett Foundation camp for adults 18+ with select neuromuscular disorders.

Camp Paz – Stepping Stones of Hope camp for children grieving the loss of a loved one.

Camp with a Ramp – Camp for those living with Spinal Cord injuries.

Hope Kids – Camp for children with cancer or other life-threatening medical conditions.

Impacting the Community

The impact of our programs extends far beyond the individuals we directly serve. By providing children with a strong educational foundation and ensuring their health and well-being, we contribute to the creation of a healthier, more educated, and more resilient community. Our efforts help break the cycle of poverty, reduce the incidence of child abuse and neglect, and promote a brighter future for all.
