In an effort to streamline payment processing, improve efficiency, and reduce the administrative burden on both housing providers and the Housing Authority, we are transitioning to a mandatory direct deposit system for housing assistance payments.
Starting from January 1, 2024, we will no longer mail paper checks to property owners and agents. Housing assistance payments will be exclusively distributed via direct deposit into the bank account you specify.
Note: Housing providers who are currently signed up for direct deposit will not need to take any action. Your payments will continue to be deposited into your designated bank account as usual.
We look forward to your continued participation in our voucher programs and are confident that this transition will ultimately be beneficial in streamlining the efficiency and security of our housing assistance payment process.
