Nicaragua

Gloria says that she felt safe for the first time in her life when she moved to House of Hope with her mother when she was 8 years old. Her happiest childhood memories are from the time she spent there.

As an adult, Gloria has returned to House of Hope. She left several times due to feelings of desperation and hopelessness. Thankfully, Gloria realized that leaving was a mistake and returned. She says that she missed House of Hope very much when she was gone. She has now been in the residential program in Nicaragua consistently for over two years!

Gloria is growing a lot in her relationship with the Lord and is leaning on Him. She says, “I am learning to fight in prayer for the strength to carry on here.” She continues, “Ultimately, I just want what God wants for me and not what the world wants to give me.” Gloria asks for prayer for her children and for the endurance and strength that it takes to live a transformed life in Christ.

Honduras

In January, Tina began coming to sewing classes at our ministry building in Honduras and she also attends weekly gatherings held by House of Hope staff at the new Castro II brothel location in San Pedro Sula where Tina and many women in prostitution live.

Pray with us that Tina will give her life to Christ and that she and her children will experience His transformational power in their lives.

Bolivia

House of Hope in Cochabamba, Bolivia, is growing a lot this year! The safe home is filled wall-to-wall with girls. Our generous donors have invested over $300,000 of the $400,000 needed for a larger girls’ home. With a larger home, we will be able to get more girls out of human trafficking.

With new staff and the addition of new girls, everyone is settling into their rhythms and weekly routines. Every day after lunch, Kathy, the house mother at House of Hope, teaches the girls from the Bible. They are learning a lot! Below is what two girls, Katerin and Sandra, learned last week during their devotional times.
