Dear brothers and sisters in our Lord Jesus, part of the growing repentance remnant, cleansing as His Bride, getting ready for His soon return as our Bridegroom-----
I want to encourage you. You don't have to be in this crowd of sleeping churchgoers in the above graphic. Avoid the lukewarm church (Revelation 3:16; Ecclesiastes 5:1).
In this wicked world, start with yourself, in the same way that if the alarm went off in an airplane you'd obey by putting on the oxygen mask first, then helping those around you.
Using that analogy, the oxygen mask is God's GIFT of repentance. That's why when it was time to preach, Jesus/Yeshua, instead of saying shalom or love your neighbor, used this word first : "REPENT" Matthew 4:17.
You and I have to use our free will and spiritual wisdom to repent first of all. God calls each of us to change our minds, our direction, 180 degrees from the world and the flesh where the enemy of Christ attempts to distract us constantly. Shifting focus from the enemy, we focus on Him and His Word first, above all else. Repentance includes a real conversion of your direction. In Acts 3:19, Peter---no longer a coward, now full of the FIRE of the Holy Spirit, available now also to you and me--- says: " Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord."
When you take time alone with the LORD and repent, thereby using the key to joining His Kingdom, you then receive His Holy Spirit, dwelling thereafter in you. He sees you then as a new creation, a disciple for Jesus Christ, a "preacher" fulfilling Luke 24:46,47: " Then He said to them, ' Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."
That command from the Risen Christ is for you and me. So here's my encouragement in this very wicked world. Once you have the indwelling Holy Spirit, having repented, find His unique calling on you. (John 15:16). He knew you in your mother's womb (Psalm 139:13-16). See yourself NOW as being able to "preach" by "bearing Fruits of the Holy Spirit" (Matthew 3:8)--especially His Love. Using your indwelling Holy Spirit, and that "fruit" of love, begin to pray for others in your immediate family. Then perhaps pray for your neighbor at the market or post office who you can see is very troubled. You are His Ambassador, His salt and light in a wicked world. You become in effect a walking "house of God." Allow His indwelling Holy Spirit to guide you forward on His path as His "preacher." He will give you the words to say, and the divine connections, as you follow His direction!
You'll be following in the direction Paul implored Timothy: " I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His Kingdom; Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But YOU [put your name here!] be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry." (2 Timothy 4:1-5).
