Reviews of Claudette Joy's Recent Performance

To Claudette Joy from Dr. Ivylyn Davis Bell, DDS

Thanks for inviting us to the cultural event in Coral Springs, Florida. The program which included poetry readings, African dances, and fashion shows were all well presented and enjoyable. Congratulations on your extraordinary literary compositions and may you continue to bring these cultural events to our community.

The event was refreshing, unique and motivating. We had the opportunity to interact with literary folks. Performances by participants were enlightening and entertaining. I liked the African attire so many participants wore and also the fashion show. It drew me back to my connection to my ancestors.

And more specifically, the poem (Caan Figet) by Dr. Claudette Joy Spence was particularly moving and reminded us.... it is really irrelevant in the big scheme of things...we all come from Africa and we can't deny that. It was a moving experience. I'm looking forward to next year.
