Registration

Summer 2022 registration is opening soon! Resident registration will open on Monday, April 11 at 8am and non-resident registration will begin Monday, April 25 at 8am. For more information on how to register or how to set up an account online, click here.

New Registration Website

We have updated our WAWM RCS Department online registration page! Not only does it have a more modern look, it’s also extremely mobile friendly! Remember, there are no service fees for online registration and you can register any time of day or night, so you can enroll in your classes and activities at a time that works best for you!

NEW Picture with the Easter Bunny

Don’t miss out on meeting the Easter Bunny on Sunday, April 10th from 1-3pm at the Recreation Center. Come say “Hi: to the Easter Bunny and say “Cheese” to School and Sports Pics for an instant capture of smiles. Do you have a pup that would love to meet the Bunny? They are welcome to come too!  $12/$16 per picture, proceeds from this event will be donated to the WAWM RCS Department’s Champion for a Child Scholarship program. Pre-registration is highly encouraged, only cash or check accepted at the event.

Egged

Guess who’s back?!?!  The Easter Bunny is teaming up with the RCS Department again for another year of “egging.”  25 eggs for $15 or 50 eggs for $30.  The “egging” begins Wednesday, April 13th.  Spots are filling quickly, don’t miss out!  Register online at wawmrec.com or call our offices at 414-604-4900.

All-District Free Throw Contest

On Saturday, March 19th, March Madness was in full force at the Ed Stech Fieldhouse at West Allis Central High School. The WAWM RCS Department hosted the return of the "Annual Wisconsin Park and Recreation Association (WPRA) Region 4 Free Throw Competition." Athletes from Cedarburg, Germantown, Jackson, Nicolet, Racine, South Milwaukee, Wauwatosa, West Allis-West Milwaukee and Whitefish Bay were there representing their communities. Congratulations to the WAWM athletes for advancing to this round and to those that placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at the regional competition!

Dance

We were so excited for the return of our dance program's annual recital/showcase this past Saturday! It was 2 years ago when we made the very difficult decision to cancel our dance recital not fully knowing what was about to transpire. It was WONDERFUL to have our dancers back performing for their family and friends. A huge SHOUT OUT to our dance program staff for sticking with us and making this year the best it could be!!

Check out our summer dance classes in our Summer Activity Guide.  We’ve added Hip Hop to our offerings this summer.  We’re looking forward to seeing you on the dance floor.

Suburban Concert Band

The Suburban Concert Band & Swing Street Big Band will be performing "Music from Japan" on May 6th in the Nathan Hale Auditorium. The performance is set to begin at 7:30pm. The Suburban Concert Band is a community band composed of both professional and amateur musicians from West Allis and the surrounding area. They put on incredible shows so enjoy a great night of music with the entire family!"
