HONORS LEADERSHIP COUNCIL NEWS

Hello Honors College!

The Honors Leadership Council just had our first meeting of the semester with Dean Phillips, and we learned about some exciting new things that we wanted to share with you.

The Board of Trustees recently approved the plans for the new Honors College facilities, so there are only a few more steps until everything is official. Dean Phillips shared the plans for the new buildings with us and everything looks amazing.  The plans consist of two buildings which will be located by Windsor.  The exterior will appear similar to the current structures, but the interior of the buildings will be full of rooms that have both residential and academic purposes.  Just to name a few, there will be a reading room, a library, a courtyard, a restaurant, and an innovation lab.  The acceptance of these plans marks a major step forward in developing a residential and academic community for the Honors College.  It is anticipated that we will break ground this January and the residents will be able to move in as soon as August 2016! As always, please do not hesitate to contact us with any comments, questions, or concerns.

Thanks,

Justine
