Homeless Data Integration System (HDIS) Update
The following is a message from the California Homeless Coordinating and Financing Council
Dear partners,

We hope that you are doing as well as possible in these hard times.

We want to provide you with an update on the Homeless Data Integration System (HDIS). We’re excited to announce that our HDIS vendor is officially on board. Plante Moran provides a full line of analytics and data management services to private and public sector organizations. For the HDIS project, they are partnering with a subject matter expert with over 10 years of experience working in the HMIS/CoC/HUD space – Arizona-based non-profit Crisis Response Network.

With Plante Moran on board, we have now concluded the procurement process and have begun building out the HDIS infrastructure. Phase I will integrate homeless services data from all 44 of California’s Continuums of Care. Following that will be Phase II – integration of data from other state departments. We anticipate that Phase I of HDIS will be completed in early 2021, with Phase II to follow.
