WELCOME PROCARE OSTEOPATHIC & REHABILITATION CENTRE!
Beyond is excited to announce that ProCare Osteopathic & Rehabilitation Centre is now located at the studio and will be open for appointments on Friday, March 15th . A very warm welcome to Dennis and Nicole Doyle!
Dennis Doyle
R.KIN., D.O.M.P., D.SC.O., CAT(C), BAHSC, BCOMM
Dennis was born and raised in Newfoundland, which he still refers to as “home”, and where he visits his family in the summer. Dennis now practices as an  Osteopathic Manual Practitioner , a  Certified Athletic Therapist , and a  Registered Kinesiologist . He has served as a teaching assistant and thesis advisor at the  Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. Dennis founded ProCare Osteopathic & Rehabilitation Centre in Hamilton, Ontario in 2009, and has since found his new home in Kanata.
Nicole Doyle
R.KIN., D.O.M.P., D.SC.O., CAT(C), BAHSC
Nicole grew up in Cobourg, Ontario, where she often returns to visit her family. She was a competitive figure skater until the end of high school, and she found her first calling working with injured athletes. Nicole now practices as an  Osteopathic Manual Practitioner , a  Certified Athletic Therapist , and a  Registered Kinesiologist . She has been a full partner at ProCare Osteopathic & Rehabilitation Centre since 2011.
What is the difference between osteopathy and massage therapy?

While both disciplines fall under the category of manual therapy, massage therapy focuses more closely on treating the soft tissues (muscular system), whereas osteopathy includes treatment of the skeletal system, the myofascial system, the cranium, and the viscera.

The two forms of therapy tend to complement each other well. Nicole and Dennis regularly share clients with massage therapists. In their experience, treatment of the skeletal system can be less complicated in clients who receive regular massage therapy to relieve muscle tension. Conversely, the period of relief experienced following a massage can be longer-lasting if the skeletal system is mobile and balanced.

In effect, each form of treatment can serve as a catalyst for the other. Learn more about the services that ProCare provides here
