Rebuild By Design Impacts on 15th Street
Starting this week, 15th Street from Park Avenue to Bloomfield will be closed to vehicular traffic 24/7. This closure will last approximately three months to facilitate construction of the Rebuild By Design resist structure at 15th and Garden, which will protect Hoboken from future storm surge flooding. For those who were also here during Superstorm Sandy, you know what kind of destruction was caused due to the storm surge that entered the City from the north end. This project is critical to protecting our City from future storm events. The City has developed a comprehensive FAQ regarding the work on 15th Street and the project - I encourage you to read more here.
