We are pleased to announce the successful sale and close of the historic and notable 66,000-acre LELY RANCH – Presidio County - Neighboring Big Bend Ranch State Park - 30 min from Marfa, Texas.
The ranch was last purchased in the 1960s, by the Lely family of the Netherlands and has remained within the family until this transaction. The Lely family are renowned inventors of dairy and farm equipment. Today the Lely company remain leading innovators within the agricultural sector worldwide, with offices in the USA, Canada and Maassluis (Netherlands).
Mr. Lely was an enthusiastic and early international investor in West Texas and wished to acquire a large holding with historical significance near Marfa. This sale represents yet another key and Iconic West Texas Ranch which has now changed hands to the next steward. Icon congratulates the new ownership on this key and significant area acquisition.
