Hispanic Health & Social Regional Meeting at El Paso: A huge success

El Paso, Texas, May 2, 2024. Yesterday, a health providers and researchers roundtable was held in El Paso, TX, to develop a health and social well-being agenda for vulnerable and marginalized border communities.

During the meeting, we celebrated and honored Amber Perez, Executive Director of Borderland Rainbow, for her outstanding community work in providing support services to El Paso LGBTQ+ individuals and families.

This is the first of eight regional county meetings throughout Texas, where we will partner with health leaders, providers, and researchers. Data-informed and community-driven, we seek to draw from our strengths to overcome the challenges and unique realities of Texas's diverse Hispanic communities.

Together, we aim to develop a comprehensive statewide Hispanic health agenda, a testament to our shared commitment to the well-being of our communities.
