Message from the Principal

Amy Pinney

Dear Hilltop Families,

What a fantastic third week of school we've had! The hallways are buzzing with excitement as students dive into their learning. All around the building, you can hear students discussing multiplication, creating interactive notebooks, exploring different parts of the world, and even using mental math in our physical education classes. It’s been a week full of discovery and fun!

As we look forward to another week, we're excited to announce that students will begin earning points for their Houses by focusing on our Be H.E.A.R.D. expectations. These points are not only used for their Houses, but can also be used for individual, group, or whole-class “experiences.” We can't wait to see which House earns the most community points!

Thank you for your continued support and enthusiasm. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Warm regards,

Amy Pinney

Principal, Hilltop Elementary

PICK UP

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures for Car Riders

If you are dropping off or picking up your child from school, please remain in the car line until all cars have pulled up. Do not attempt to go around other vehicles. We've had several incidents in which cars attempted to pass while others were entering from Hilltop Drive, creating safety concerns. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping everyone safe.

Also, please make sure your student enters and exits the car from the passenger side. Adults should remain in the car at all times. Students should arrive no later than 7:35 a.m. and should be picked up before 2:45 p.m. each day.

Procedures for Communicating with Staff

At Hilltop, we prioritize open communication and fostering a strong family-school relationship. Our teachers are dedicated to educating students, while Mrs. Pinney focuses on observing classrooms, engaging with students, and maintaining a safe environment. If you need to speak with a teacher, please email them during the day or leave a message with Mrs. Simon, our secretary, so they can return your call. To meet with Mrs. Pinney, please schedule an appointment ahead of time or call her office in advance. We kindly ask that you do not arrive unannounced, as our staff is committed to ensuring a safe and productive learning environment for all students.
