Message from the Principal | |
Happy New Year, Hilltop Families!
I am excited for the possibilities of new beginnings that come with the start of a new year. The House of Determination has placed its goals on display for the entire Hilltop community to see. We are determined to make an impact for ourselves and our community. In addition, I would like to congratulate the House of Honor. They had the most Critter Coins during the month of December and have earned the privilege to keep the Bison Cup.
As we begin a new year, I feel confident that we are going to finish this school year stronger than ever! I see growth in our relationships and students who are learning to advocate for themselves and others.
Have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy the snow!
Educationally Yours,
Dr. Octavia Reid
Hilltop Principal

Hilltop Staff’s New Year Kicks Off with Healthy Living and Fun
The Hilltop staff started the year with a healthy potluck breakfast and a gift game to ring in the New Year. The Sunshine Wellness Committee focused on the multiple ways we can take care of our mental, physical, and spiritual health. The staff had a great time in fellowship and walked away with some cool self-care gifts. We want to thank Medical Mutual for funding initiatives to promote the health and wellness of our hard-working staff!

Be H.E.A.R.D. Shout Out: Aiden Safranko
Aiden Safranko is our first feel-good story of the New Year. Aiden took the time to partner with one of his peers in English Language Arts. He was observed using instructional strategies to assist his peer with the intended reading passage. He encouraged and modeled the proper way to sound out words. He asked questions to help get the students' thoughts down on paper. He truly showed himself to be a role model with the care and attention he provided. Aiden Sanfranco is one reason why Hilltop is an awesome place!
