What's Happening at Hillsdale | |
|
Knights Families,
Happy Friday! After last week's spirited activities, this week seems pretty uneventful...but never fear, NEXT week, we are full of happenings!!
Thanks to ASB and the Leadership class for decorating campus and organizing welcoming activities last week! Thanks to everyone who participated in and performed in the rally--all of the preparation had our students proud to be Knights.
We are proud to be a booster group that represents all HHS families and are continuing to increase our active membership numbers. No commitment or donation required, but we will gladly accept either. If you haven't filled out our annual membership form, don't forget to. We help keep you in the loop! 2024-2025 PTSO Membership
Along with the Foundation, we would like to thank each family who gave (personally and via business) during their challenge. Not only did you meet the challenge, but it was EXCEEDED!!! Thanks to all who gave--each and every little bit made a difference!!
This week, rehearsals for our fall musical, Cabaret, began. Our sophomores also started "rehearsing" for the HHS tradition of Battle at Dawn. Fall sports are practicing and competing--for a full schedule of our fall sporting events, scroll further down the bulletin. You will also see details about our first HHS Girls' Water Polo Tournament that is happening TOMORROW at Hillsdale!!
Do you have a student who is interested in their post HHS options? The SMUHSD Career Expo on Tuesday, Sept 10, will give you information about public service careers, on-the-job training, community college programs that offer training to get into the workforce Scroll below for flyer with location and more information.
Back to School Knight is Thursday!! Plan for an evening of all things HHS. For dinner--the Senior class is hosting a BBQ in the Great Court; then attend each of our student's classes to meet their teachers and learn what is expected this year. Detailed schedule is below. Please make sure your student provides you with a copy of their schedule prior to the event...this is something your child's advisor works on with them prior to Thursday. Senior families, please plan on attending the "Senior Meeting" portion of the evening to get important details about your student's senior year and activities.
Since our faculty and staff will be working late on Thursday, Friday Sept. 13 will be a block minimum day schedule. Please refer to the 2024-2025 bell schedule at in the bulletin for exact times.
DATE CHANGE FOR SENIOR CLASS FUNDRAISER (PUB CRAWL) The new date is 10/26. THIS IS A PARENT ORGANIZED FUNDRAISER AND NOT A SCHOOL EVENT. See flyer below for information.
Have an amazing week and we can't wait to see you at one of the many events happening next week!

Success! Now Let's Hit Our 100% Goal!
Our Foundation's Board of Directors challenged our community to raise $35,000 by August 31st to support Hillsdale's Small Learning Communities. OUR COMMUNITY DELIVERED, to say the least. We smashed through that goal and now we're well on our way to attaining our $600,000 goal for this year.
However, historically only about 30% of Hillsdale's families have contributed to this important mission which benefits each and every Hillsdale student. This year, we are encouraging 100% of Hillsdale's families to give in any amount. Please consider contributing to the Foundation, either one-time or monthly, if you haven't already. If you have already given, we deeply appreciate your support. Thank you!
We are all in this together.
