Knights Families,
We hope that however you may be spending this week, you are enjoying your time. Just a quick reminder that when we return to school on Monday, April 8, we have a virtual only PTSO meeting---all are welcome to join and hear about what is happening at our school.
It's April and that means we are weeks away from Knight Moves! We wanted to take the opportunity to highlight KMXXVI in this Spring Break Bulletin.
Some fun facts:
Although the performance is in April, preparations for Knight Moves is a yearlong program that the dancers commit to.
The amazing program and the ads that are in it are seen by over 700 community members a night. If you are interested in advertising or know a business that might be, click here Business Ads or scroll down to the flyer.
Know someone performing in the show? You can send them a personalized love note that will be in the program! Click here Love Notes or scroll down to the flyer.
Still not sure about attending? The show is always sold out, so purchase your tickets early! Tickets will be available to the public on Monday, April 8th. On Monday, the site will be updated to include a link to purchase your tickets, and to learn more about this amazing program, our Ensemble, and ways you can help with supporting the Dance Ensemble’s fundraising campaign! Visit https://www.hillsdalehighschooldance.com/ for more. information.
Thanks so much for all the hard work that Sabrina, guest choreographers, the dancers, Dance Boosters, and other parent volunteers have done to get ready for Knight Moves.
We hope to see you there!!

Financial Aid Application Deadlines Extended to May 2
California Governor Newsom announced last night, for the 2024-2025 award year only, that every financial aid program administered by the Student Aid Commission (including FAFSA and California Dream Act), shall have its application deadline extended to May 2, 2024.
Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes, a Democrat from Corona and chair of the California Latino Legislative Caucus, rushed the bill to give affected California students additional time to complete the federal application, known as the FAFSA, and access more than $3 billion in state aid. The new law moves the current deadline from April 2 to May 2 and goes into effect immediately.
Cervantes wrote the bill after a technology mishap prevented U.S. citizens from completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid because their parents don’t have a Social Security number. It’s a problem that emerged this year with a revised application and has generated a high degree of worry among the higher education financial aid officers in California and nationally.
