Knights Families,
Can you believe it? We are in the final days of the 2023-2024 schoolyear!! This week was Spirit Week and the End-of-the-Year Rally. This is always so bittersweet--especially getting to see the Seniors "walk through the door" and each class "rise" and sit in their new seating section. Thanks so much to the Leadership class, cheer, and dance PLUS the fabulous student volunteers who made the rally such a spirited success.
It's been 4 years since HHS first shut down due to COVID and those some of those HHS 2020 Students are graduating college! We would like to wish those alumni and their families a special graduation season---since they were unable to walk the stage for their high school graduation.
Speaking of graduation, 2024 senior families, please make sure to check your email regularly regarding graduation rules and procedures, rehearsal, etc. Two other great resources are your student's advisor or the HHS webpage. We want to make sure that graduation is as clearly outlined as possible, so everyone knows where to be and when.
As we approach summer, it's a great time to purge closets and get our summer ware ready! Please keep the Community Closet in mind as you do this...our families in need benefit from having clothes for the season, too. Remember you can donate during the times listed in the flyer below, or reach out to us and we can help connect you.
Summer weather brings outdoor activities, including lots of biking. Did you know that we are currently working with the City of San Mateo to make our campus and the area around it friendlier to bikers? The City is looking for YOUR input through the survey Bike Survey. If you have any questions, you can look at the slide deck here or contact Mr. Emanuel (demanuel@smuhsd.org).
Today, PTSO is co-hosting their final hospitality of the year with Leadership. We will be having a luncheon, complete with dessert for the faculty and staff. We would like to thank each and every family who has donated food, items, gift cards, and their time to make this year such a huge success!! PTSO was able to thank the leadership students with a breakfast this week--it has truly been a pleasure working with the students.
Thanks so much for your continued support, especially during the craziness of this time of year. One more week to go...
