Hillsdale Families,
Here we are mid May and all of the end-of-the-year activities are starting. This week was Athletics' Awards Knight. Congrats to all HHS athletes for their hard work during their seasons. Next week, May 21, there will be a Senior Awards Knight to honor our seniors. (Side note--don't forget to visit the Athletics' page for information about summer athletic conditioning and SportsNet updates)
Continuing with athletics, congratulations to the Athletics Boosters on hosting a hugely successful Golf Tournament last week. After the golf match, there was a buffet dinner along with a silent and live auction. Few people left the event empty handed! Thanks so much to Scott Wellwood and his amazing team for organizing and executing this community event to raise money for athletics. We are already looking forward to next year!!
Last weekend, we had the Hillsdale Hall of Fame event. HHS alumni were recognized for their accomplishments and awarded for them. Thanks to Coach Bent, his team of volunteers, and Leadership students who made this event great for our alumni.
Today, the College and Career Center will put on the Commit to Your Future event outside the auditorium. Seniors are able to show their commitment to their future, whatever direction that may be--college, the workforce, trades, travel, you name it! PTSO supported the College and Career Center in hosting this event by providing treats for each senior in attendance.
Last night was our the final HHS Foundation Board Meeting of the year. It was bittersweet. we said goodbye to exiting Director Katherine Goodman and hello to Marcine Jansen as entering Director. Katherine, it's been a pleasure and Marcine we look forward to working with you.
Last night was also the first of our Spring Concert series in the auditorium. We love seeing the musical talent of our students. In case you missed last night, part two of the series is next week. Definitely add it to your calendar.
Tonight is Senior Knight!! This is an event our Seniors have been looking forward to. Senior parent, Andrea Savage and the Leadership Class have been hard at work to make this event memorable for the Class of 2024. Our Seniors will have Senior Day and Latino Graduation is next week, too...watch out Senior families, the whirlwind of events is in full swing. Congrats!! (Don't forget to check the Senior Corner and your emails regularly)
Friday, we will co-host our final hospitality event with Leadership in the form of a luncheon for the faculty and staff. If you are interested in donating and haven't signed up yet, click here--Hospitality Donations We have had so much positive feedback about our co-hosted events through the year, that we will be continuing it next year. We couldn't have done it without YOU--the supportive families who have donated food, time, and volunteered for our events. Our deepest thanks to all of you!!
Our postponed May meeting from this week will be next Monday via Zoom only. See flyers for Zoom information. Can't wait to see you there. Can't make it, but interested in being more active in the PTSO, reach out to us via email. We'd love to have you!
Have a fabulous week!!!
