Andrea Bennett joined OSHR in December 2020 and serves as the Talent and University Relations Program Consultant, overseeing Ed2NC.
With more than 10 years of experience as a higher education administrator, Andrea has worked at institutions such as the University of Washington and, most recently, Fayetteville State University.

Highlights from the Collaboration Between OSHR & OSP
NC Talent Partnership Database
Developed a public database to help North Carolina’s state agencies and approximately 110 institutions of higher education collaborate on talent recruitment.
Volcker Alliance G2U Network
North Carolina has joined the Volcker Alliance’s Government-to-University Initiative,
NC COVID-19 Student Response Corps
The Office of Strategic Partnerships, along with Lead for North Carolina and other external partners, developed and launched the NC COVID-19 Student Response Corps. The program helped place approximately 130 students in internships with local governments and nonprofits to support COVID-19 response efforts. The COVID-19 Student Response Corps is currently in its second year, and is currently offering internships and other opportunities.
Strategic Partnership Monthly Connect Series
State agencies and higher education institutions that work with the Office of Strategic Partnerships (OSP) were recently featured on OSP's Monthly Connect Series, hosted by Jenni Owen, Director of Strategic Partnerships. The Strategic Partnership Monthly Connect presents panel discussions on topics relevant to partnerships among state government, research institutions including colleges/universities, philanthropy, and others.
