Dear LNC Families,
Today I'm writing to share some bittersweet news regarding our high school community. After nine years of dedication and leadership, our high school principal, Craig Smith, will be embarking on a new chapter in his professional journey, taking on an advanced leadership role with another school.
Mr. Smith has been an integral part of our high school's success, fostering a culture of academic excellence with a “Be Your Best” mindset. His commitment to our students' well-being and success has left an indelible mark on our community, and we are grateful for his service over the years.
I want to assure you that the process of finding a new high school principal will be thorough and inclusive. We will conduct a national search, ensuring that all school stakeholder groups are represented in the selection process. Their input and feedback will be invaluable as we seek to identify a candidate who embodies the values and vision of our school community.
Given the time needed to complete an extensive search, we will appoint an experienced individual to serve as the interim high school principal for the 2024-2025 school year. This individual will provide continuity and support during this transitional period. We hope to announce the interim principal's name in the upcoming weeks.
As we navigate this transition together, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have. If you have a connection to an individual you feel may be a good fit, I encourage you to share the opportunity with them, as many of our staff have been recommended by members of our LNC community.
