Paul's Progress - May 2024
Hi Tricia!
It's MAY! April was pretty fantastic, I hope yours was as well. But MAY! You MAY or MAY not have heard me say every single year just how much I love May. :) Can't help myself. 1) It's getting warmer as spring is turning into summer = more outside activities that we love, 2) kids are winding up the school year, graduations are happening all over (My baby graduates high school and my nephew graduates college soon! It went so fast!) and 3) it's my sister and my birth-month :) Just all kinds of change and reasons to be with friends and family and enjoy the outside!

Speaking of birth-month and what-not, we have some pretty important gift giving opportunities coming our way here in May and June don't we. Mother's Day is Sunday, May 12th (don't forget!), Father's Day after that, I'm sure some of you have someone you know getting married, buying a new house or graduating, then, of course as I mentioned, there is my and my sister's birthdays over Memorial Day weekend, so there's always that :) Lots to shop for! Thankfully, we have lots of gift ideas to choose from! Here are just a few I can think of off of the top of my head: small kitchen appliances, unique cleaning products, best brands in grills and power tools, planters, seeds and planting accessories, bird supplies, water filtration systems, pool toys, outdoor seating and decorations, storage and organizational items, outdoor lighting, and MORE! All make great gifts and a LOT of them will be on sale in the upcoming month! How convenient!? So check out the ads, make your lists and head on in to your favorite Paul's location to get the best help in the valley! While we always love to see you in person, you can always shop from the comfort of your home or office online at or on your Ace Hardware app for delivery or pick up. Or just simply give us a call! We're happy to gather your order and deliver it curbside. :)

We know you have choices for your home improvement and business needs and we appreciate you choose us again and again. ❤️ We love to hear from you so always feel free to drop us a phone call, email, get in touch with us on social, or review your favorite Paul's on Google and don't forget to mention your favorite Paul's Family member!

Congrats 2024 Graduates!
In 1979, Gilda Radner gave the commencement address, in character as Roseanne Roseannadanna, to the graduating class at the Columbia School of Journalism. While the entirety of the speech is not available online anymore :(, I was able to find this short snippet to share. Enjoy! And CONGRATS to 2024 Grads!
Round Up to Donate
Throughout April, our 8 Paul's locations accepted Round Up donations at our registers for our own Children's Miracle Network hospital, Phoenix Children's Hospital. Again, you all rose to the task. YOU all helped us raise a record breaking $11,166.67! Add that 10% Paul's match and we are able to write a big check for $12,283.34! Another absolutely incredible month, thank you to every one of you. Check out what your favorite Paul's location was able to raise here.

Throughout May we will be accepting Round Up donations at our registers for various local charities to benefit our veterans. Learn more about them on our website. We're excited to see what we can raise for them this month!

Remember this is all completely voluntary and you are not relegated to just rounding up your purchase. We will happily accept any donation you could give. Thank you so much ❤️
Speaking of Mother's Day
My daughter, uber creative as she is, was assigned last year to get a story or poem 'published' for her high school creative writing class. I shared this with you last year and love it so much, I thought I'd share it again :) Please enjoy this poem she wrote for Mother's Day. I LOVE it and I LOVE being her Mama!
Grilling season is upon us (well it's always really grilling season in my book), but you're going to need that BBQ fueled up and we are here to help! Not only do we have bulk propane at our Tempe Priest & Broadway, Scottsdale & McDowell, and Fountain Hills locations, we also have a new propane exchange program where the tanks have an extra 5lbs, which means 3 hours more BBQ time! And who doesn't need more BBQ time! Come on in, get fueled up and get grilling!
Happy Mother's Day!
Don't forget about Mother's Day this year! May 12th! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms, stepmoms, foster moms, grandmoms, dads doing mom duty and fur-moms! It can be a hard job but one I wouldn't give up for the world :)
If you plan on celebrating with mom and family, I found this list of fun things to do to get you started with some great ideas. If you're more an 'enjoy the day at home' family, like mine, I hope you enjoy your day :)
Memorial Day
Memorial Day (originally Decoration Day) was established by Major General John A. Logan three years after the Civil War had ended. Gen. Logan's order for his posts in 1868 was to decorate graves of fallen soldiers "with the choicest flowers of springtime... We should guard their graves with sacred vigilance. ... Let pleasant paths invite the coming and going of reverent visitors and fond mourners. Let no neglect, no ravages of time, testify to the present or to the coming generations that we have forgotten as a people the cost of a free and undivided republic."
Today, as you know, Americans celebrate Memorial Day in a variety of ways by visiting cemeteries or memorials, watching parades and holding family gatherings. Whatever you will be doing this upcoming Memorial Day weekend, we hope you enjoy and please take time to remember our military members.
Military Members - active, reserve, past or retired, we appreciate you! Remember all 8 Paul's Ace Hardware locations offer a 10% Military Discount to you everyday - see an associate to get you set up.

BlugrassGrow is a proprietary formula combined with an easy four step application process. The everyday homeowner can now grow the same lush, green, healthy grass they see on their favorite golf courses. AND it's made locally, so it's made for our climate! Get your best lawn growing!

We wanted to let you know that our Scottsdale & McDowell location will now be open at 6am for the summer so you can get a great head start on getting all those to-do's to-done!

Customer Comments
We recently received this review on Google for our Gilbert & Baseline location and of course it made our day so I thought I'd share :)

"I don’t go no any other hardware store but this one. This is my THE ONE. I won’t even go to another different ACE tbh. This store has unmatched customer service. I’ve been going there for past 8 years. NOT ONCE where I feel unappreciated for my business. Sometimes I even know that some of the items will cost less if I get from Amazon or Walmart etc… but money is well well spent here. Thank you for helping me out through out the years."

Thank you so much for the feedback! It's reviews like these that remind us why we do what we do. :) and our Paul's Family appreciates your continued business! If you get great service, shout it out on your favorite platform and make sure to mention your favorite Paul's Family Member!
