Hi and as always thank you for allowing me into your inbox. I'm excited to be back!
As I mentioned in my video I am trying to stick to the commitments I made in the beginning of 2016.
Well here we are in the month of April and here are my questions to you:
- Do you remember what your commitment to your business for 2016?
- Have you taken any time to exam what you have done in the first 3 months of this year?
- Have you figured out what worked and what didn't work?
- Are you willing to ask for help?
Ok... lots of questions!! I myself have taken a look back and have not completed everything that I wanted to. I know hard to believe... lol
I also mentioned that one of my commitments this year was to do my newsletter every two weeks, like I have done in the past 2 years, but I found myself making some great excuses why I had not sent out one newsletter this year. The answer is simple - I would not commit to taking the time to sit down and do a video and then write the article and put it all together. As I am typing this it surely seems like a lame excuse.
How many times have you made excuses and then when explaining it realized that it was the lamest thing you ever came up with? For me it is always easy to call someone else out on his or her excuses but not as easy to call myself out.
To answer some of the questions I asked in the beginning, I do remember what my commitment was in the first of the year. It was to be more obedient to my commitments. Where I missed the mark was not looking back over everything each month and making the proper adjustments.
Right before I started writing this article I did go back and examine everything that I did in the first three months of this year. Some of it was good, some of it was really good and some of the things I did were not good at all. As I look at everything I find that it is much better to look at things at the end of every month. It makes it easier to make small adjustments. If we wait too long it is almost to overwhelming to fix it properly.
When it comes to asking for help I think that I am like a lot of people. I am willing to ask but not always willing to listen. Hmmm.... That could be a problem. That's where my commitment to being more obedient comes in. It is important to listen to the people that you ask questions of not only in business but also in everyday life.
Here is how I would like to end this month's article, try to make a commitment to look back over each month and learn from it so that you can improve. Also make sure to be a good listener so that you can ask questions and learn what you're not seeing that may be right in front of you.
Most of us need to look at hiring someone that will help hold us accountable in our everyday work life.
Thanks for taking the time to read this article and I hope that it will help you improve your personal and business growth. Until next time!
