March MAX Blue Line disruption marks final phase of construction

Work on Trimet's A Better Red project will disrupt a stretch of the MAX Blue Line in Hillsboro March 16-24.

Stations will be closed from Orenco Station to Hatfield Government Center for signal system upgrades. Shuttles will serve the stations and TriMet staff will be available. Plan for up to 30 extra minutes of travel time and use trimet.org to plan ahead.

A Better Red will extend MAX Red Line service to the Fair Complex/Hillsboro Airport when it is expected to open in late August. This is the final planned service disruption.

Open Houses

The Vision for Transit online open house and survey is open for public comment until March 1.

The Vision for Transit includes draft recommendations on how we can support and improve transit in Washington County over the next 20 years. We’re asking for feedback on how well these recommendations will improve safety, accessibility, convenience and overall experiences to encourage transit ridership. Visit the open house and survey, learn more about the Vision for Transit.

Visit the Stringtown Road Bridge Online Open House through March 10.

Stringtown Road is a rural road west of Forest Grove. We will replace the Stringtown Road bridge over Prickett Creek with a concrete culvert. The construction will require a road closure of up to two months.
