Adesha Village Staff Members Save Participant’s Life with Courage and Quick Thinking

RHD’s program staff regularly goes above and beyond to provide exemplary service to participants, and today, we’d like to tell you about Julian Johnson and Janice Sprual of Adesha Village in Malvern, PA. On March 27th, after preparing lunch for a participant named HD, Janice noticed he wasn’t seated at the table, despite calling for him multiple times. Concerned, she hurried to his room where she found him unconscious and pale. Without hesitation, she called for help and Julian swiftly responded. Assessing the situation, Julian wasted no time in dialing 9-1-1 while Janice prepared all necessary items for the emergency medical services. With Julian performing CPR according to protocol, they worked seamlessly together to ensure HD received the best possible care. When the EMS arrived, Julian and Janice provided vital information to aid in HD’s treatment. Julian and Janice exemplified courage and selflessness through their quick thinking, bravery, and knowledge in handling a true emergency that saved a life that day. Julian and Janice's actions serve as a shining example of dedication, compassion, and the RHD Value of Quality Service. Adesha Village is a therapeutic community providing personalized residential services, behavior support, community participation support, systematic skill-building, and life sharing to adults with special mental health needs and intellectual/developmental differences.
