Fitness Tip for the Holidays!

The holidays are fast approaching, and it's easy to lose sight of your fitness goals. But don't worry! We have a few tips on making through the holidays:


  1. Breathe! Stressing out increases your cortisol levels and can make it hard to lose weight.
  2. Keep exercising. Anything is better than nothing.
  3. Eat more often, but in smaller portions. This keeps your blood sugar levels stable.
  4. Make sure you have a lean protein in every meal.
  5. Don’t overeat or drink! You will be full and miserable!

Fitness Tip of the Month: Stretching

 

Here are some tips to get the most out of stretching:

  • Do dynamic stretching - high knees, butt kicks, air squats, etc. - before exercise.
  • Foam roll after exercise.
  • Do static stretches - in which the stretch is held for about 15-30 seconds - after foam rolling.
