Babies born at Heritage Valley Beaver are receiving a warm welcome! Auxiliary members, along with some friends, spent recent months creating beautiful one-of-a-kind blankets and hats for the newest members of the Heritage Valley family. Over 60 blankets and dozens of hats were presented to Heritage Valley Beaver’s Maternity Department. Now that’s a labor of love!
“We all enjoyed making these blankets and hats. Knowing that they were going to babies born right in our hospital made it even more special and fun,” said Pat Kisio, President of the Heritage Valley Beaver Auxiliary. Melissa Monte, Nurse Manager of the Maternity Department, is delighted to present the blankets and hats as gifts of love from these amazing volunteers. “The baby blankets are beautiful and the parents who receive them just love them.”
The Auxiliary is comprised of Beaver County women who serve the hospital by promoting volunteerism and raising funds for Heritage Valley Beaver. The Auxiliary also operates the hospital’s gift shop, and raised $56,000 last year. Since its inception in 1986, the Auxiliary has raised more than $2.6 million for Heritage Valley Beaver.
