March 30th is National Doctors’ Day, a time set aside to recognize and honor physicians for the incredible work that they do for their patients and communities. We want to thank the Heritage Valley Health System doctors for their time and commitment, each and every day! We admire their dedication and leadership, and appreciate the sacrifices they make to put the needs of their patients first. Doctors keep us healthy by leading the fight against disease and illness, and they deserve to be honored!

Employee Spotlight… Rob

In this issue we are spotlighting Rob, who is the Lead Pharmacist of the Ambulatory Care Pharmacy at Heritage Valley Beaver.

Rob knows that it takes teamwork and collaboration to make healthcare initiatives successful. That is why he is proud to be part of the team that developed Heritage Valley’s “Meds to Beds” program, which delivers prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to patients before they leave the hospital.

Part of Rob’s job is to continually support pharmacy services in order to provide top quality care. He takes this seriously, and enjoys doing his part to make a positive impact. One of his favorite things about Heritage Valley is the “real community feel that is comforting and familiar” for both patients and employees.

According to Rob’s Supervisor, “Rob is a great leader because he is willing to go the extra mile to ensure patients have the medications they need at discharge. He is compassionate and understanding of each patient’s situation. Rob is also innovative; he is always looking for new ways that the pharmacy can improve patient care and positively impact each patient’s experience at Heritage Valley.”
