Considering Weight Loss Surgery?

There is Hope for Success

According to the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), as many as two out of every three Americans are obese and 23 million Americans are morbidly obese, having a body mass index higher than 40. Because of the current obesity epidemic, more and more people are turning to weight loss, or bariatric, surgery.

If you are 100 pounds overweight and struggle with morbid obesity and related health problems, there is Hope. Weight loss surgeries are safe, effective procedures that are shown to achieve significant, long-term weight loss and improvement in health.

Heritage Valley Sewickley's Hope Bariatrics, the surgical program of Geoff Wilcox, M.D. and Eric Boyle, M.D., provides weight loss surgery services. Our surgeons are advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgeons specializing in bariatric surgery since 2003.

Hope Bariatrics is proud of the following designations and accreditations:

  • Accredited Comprehensive Center at Heritage Valley Sewickley with ASMBS and American College of Surgeons
  • Highmark Blue Distinction Center for Bariatric Surgery
  • OptumHealth Bariatric Center of Excellence

The program’s high-quality inpatient, postoperative and outpatient follow-up care and patient education provided by Heritage Valley and Hope Bariatrics have led to these recognitions.
