Reflections from Head
of School School Brian Goodbar
Dear Heritage Community - As we near the end of another remarkable year at Heritage Christian School, it's a moment for reflection on the incredible ways in which God has moved among us. The past year has been filled with numerous achievements and milestones, and I'm deeply grateful for the collective effort that has made it all possible.
Here are just a few highlights:
- Through the Annual Fund giving, Educating for Eternity Auction/Gala, and Operation G.O.O.D., we've raised...
| Congratulations on 25 Years at Heritage, Mrs. Schallau! |
After 25 years of faithful service to Heritage, our secretary, Mrs. Kathy Schallau will be retiring at the end of the school year. As you all know, Kathy has been the "hub" here in the office for as long as most of us can remember so she leaves some big shoes to fill. We're so grateful for the way she has cheerfully greeted and assisted everyone who calls or comes through the doors and everything else she does in between all those interruptions to keep things running smoothly in the office. We're sad to see her go but also excited for her and her husband, Steve, as they transition to this new phase of life and have more freedom to pick up and go visit their kids and grandkids. Thank you, Kathy, for the countless ways you and your family have been a blessing to Heritage! You will be missed!

Staff Transitions

We're excited for two of our current teachers to move into new roles at Heritage. Mrs. Rachel Super, who has taught 4th grade, PreK, and Art throughout her 15 years at Heritage, recently completed her Master's Degree in Education and will fill the position of Director of Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment. Her expertise in Teaching for Transformation, instructional coaching, biblical integration, and passion for struggling students will be a great asset for Heritage going forward.
Miss Sarah Franje will be moving into the office and filling Kathy Schallau's role as Admissions Coordinator/Registrar. Sarah has been on the teaching staff at Heritage for 14 years and has served in a variety of capacities. She has taught 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade as well as coached volleyball and track. Sarah's knowledge of the school, community, her strong organizational skills, and her sense of initiative will be a great asset to our office and the school community as a whole.
We're so excited for them both as they take on these new roles and please pray with us for God's blessing on these transitions.
