HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

With lots of enthusiasm we would like to share that our children and youth have already chosen a subject for this year's social change projects:

THE ENVIRONMENT 🌎🌱

Our Agents of Change are already working as a team on their projects! Take a minute to listen to them explain the importance of the social issue chosen for this season by clicking the image below:
SPORTS

Our first official event as Boys and Girls Club of BCS took place Saturday, February 15th: The Friendship Race. As part of our sports activities, more than 300 children and youth from 10 to 18 years old, participated in this race which seeks to inspire healthy competition and motivate them to achieve more.

We are very proud of our youth for completing this 2K & 4K! So many smiles and positive cheers were shared among them.
We would like to thank our sponsors:

Thank you! Without you, this event would not have been possible.
TESTIMONIES FROM THE ❤️

In our Agents of Change program, the children and youth have the opportunity to become a Junior Coach, after showing an interest and commitment for several seasons. A Junior Coach's role is to help and support his Coach and become an example for their peers to realize they can achieve anything that they set their mind to.

This is the case of Elizabeth and Jesus, who have been part of the program for over 2 years and dreamed and persevere to become a Junior Coach.
"I chose to become a Junior Coach to set an example that if you overcome yourself, you become the best you can be, and are able to achieve what you dream."
-Jesus

"I really like being a part of this program, and as a Junior Coach I believe that I can motivate more people to join and make a commitment to work with us for a social change and become future leaders."
-Elizabeth

We are very proud of them for being so mature at such a young age.
OUR NEW HOME

We are currently remodeling our new Club in La Playita to accommodate our future Boys and Girls Club programs!

Currently, we are transitioning to expand our programs, which seek to include more educational, sports and artistic activities. These new programs are geared towards free time after school, during which the risk of incurring in unproductive and criminal behavior increases. We are looking to have programs throughout the week, in addition to our Saturday sessions.
MARCH: WOMEN'S HISTORY MONTH

Commemorating and encouraging the study, observance and celebration of the vital role of  women  in history, we would like to take a moment to remember our Agents of Change last year’s projects seeking equal rights and respect for women:
Awareness walks, songs, exhibitions, plays, guidebooks, talks in schools, accessories, video projects, movable museums and more.
