Roosevelt Elementary Student's Artwork Featured: Taelyn Baiza (6th grade, Roosevelt Elementary) will have her artwork (pictured) featured in the
2019 National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Marine Debris Calendar. Taelyn’s artwork was selected from more than 450 entries and is one of 13 pieces chosen to be included in the calendar. According to the NOAA Marine Debris Program website: "The NOAA Marine Debris Program holds this annual art contest to reach K-8 students and help raise awareness about marine debris, one of the most significant problems our ocean faces today. The resulting calendar, featuring the winning artwork, will help to remind us every day how important it is for us to be responsible stewards of the ocean.”
Taelyn is also one of several students selected to represent Idaho at the
National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo (NICEE) at The Henry Ford Museum, May 31 - June 2, in Dearborn, Michigan. Her
