Business Highlight -
SCS Sign Company
From time to time we find a business in our county that we need to learn more about. This month we visited SCS Sign Company located in Chisago City. We found the company has several products and specialties. They started out manufacturing braille signs www.justbraillesigns.com. When Jim was a small child he would marvel at his mother Margie’s skill in hand punched children’s books in braille. As an adult Jim continued his mother’s legacy, and today they manufacture braille labels and signage for the sight impaired. They have been making ADA Braille signs since the inception of the “American’s With Disability Act” signed into law in 1990 by President George H.W. Bush.
You can also find awards, metals and plaques for tournaments, races, and other acknowledgement www.Justawardmedals.com produced by SCS. To complement those businesses, they also make donor recognition trees. All these products are manufactured and assembled out of the same building in Chisago City.
