Business Highlight:
Rosenbauer America

Rosenbauer’s history began in Austria in 1866, when Johann Rosenbauer started the Linz Volunteer Fire Brigade and began selling fire fighting basics.

Over the past 150 years, Rosenbauer has become the global leader in firefighting technology and resources. They are the world’s largest manufacturer of fire trucks and equipment with eleven manufacturing locations worldwide, one of which is located here in Chisago County. Rosenbauer produces more than 2,000 vehicles annually worldwide!

The Wyoming plant specializes in custom vehicles, technically demanding fire service trucks, which are manufactured according to individual customer requirements. In addition, vehicles are produced for export along with two types of PANTHER ARFF.

Chisago County + HomeTown Fiber = Broadband Solutions
Hometown Fiber was contracted to be Chisago County's broadband consultant. After completing a broadband study of the county, Hometown Fiber has determined where the county is not served and underserved. Hometown Fiber has identified the next steps to resolving the lack of infrastructure. Chisago County cities and townships needing upgraded broadband infrastructure may work with Hometown Fiber directly or with another provider. The Chisago County Board of Commissioners will be using a portion of their America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds to assist communities with costs related to infrastructure. Please contact the HRA-EDA if you would like a copy of the study.

New Mural - Coming August 2022

Did you hear we are having a mural painted on our office building in North Branch?!

Artist Alison Price is working on a mural for the Chisago County HRA-EDA building. She has been painting professional murals over a decade and is excited to be working on our project.

This activity is made possible by the voters of MN through a grant from East Central Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
