The Conduit
FALL 2022 | Edition #32
Executive Director Report
As we look back on the Summer months, many folks enjoyed our annual golf tournament (The Tin Cup).  The event was held on August 4 at the Deer Valley Golf Club.  Thank you to all those who participated and sponsored the event.  Your support made the tournament so successful.

Over the last many months there have been some positive signs as the economy steadily improves.  This has not come without many challenges, in particular with supply and human resources shortages.  We continue to work with our industry partners to monitor and improve these deficiencies in the supply chain.

As we enter the fall season, just a reminder to review the safety training credentials of your employees.  We offer flexible online safety training through Danatec.  Please consider using our service and you will receive discounts of up to 30%.

Please feel free to contact us if you ever have questions, concerns or need clarification about the electrical industry in Saskatchewan.

Thank you for your continued support of our association.  We wish that you have a profitable last quarter of 2022.

Naming a Beneficiary: Things To Keep In Mind

A beneficiary is simply a person chosen by you who will receive a monetary payment upon your death. It may sound unpleasant, but designating a beneficiary is one of the most significant stages in enrolling in a group benefits plan, and there's a lot to think about.

It's not always necessary to name someone in a group health insurance plan, but your Life Insurance provider will demand it if your policy covers life insurance (as most do). In the case of a covered plan member's death, benefits are paid to those specified individuals.
