Liaison Meetings Successful

During our recent Liaison meetings, the ECAS Liaison committee was able to discuss contractor concerns regarding recent fee changes. These discussions resulted in changes to signage and genset fees.

Reach out if you have concerns that cannot be resolved with your local inspector.

Contractor Showcase

ECAS would welcome the opportunity to showcase projects, processes or accomplishments achieved by our members in upcoming newsletters and / or the ECAS website.

Please send your submission to ecas@ecasask.ca

Website Renewal

The ECAS website will be receiving a refresh in the coming weeks. The current website host is retiring, ceasing operations and support.

We have contracted OmniOnline to host and refresh the website, correcting a few features that no longer function properly. Membership information will be transferred to the new site so no action is expected to be required for our members.

Watch for email announcements once the update is complete!

How Handheld Devices can factor into your road Safety Policy

Across Canada, using handheld devices while behind the wheel is considered distracted driving. Distracted driving is illegal and considered a form of impairment, similar to driving while intoxicated. According to the Government of Ontario, one person is injured in a distracted driving collision every half hour. Penalties for distracted driving can include fines, demerit points, license suspensions, or worse, depending on your driving history.
