Our Vision Statement:

We are a welcoming community FIRST UNITED in proclaiming FAITH in Jesus Christ, sharing HOPE for the future, and inspiring LOVE of our neighbors.

Pastors Postponed!

Our monthly Pastors in the Parking Lot gathering scheduled for this morning has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. Pastors Luke and Meggan will be attending a meeting of our Winnebago Presbytery this morning instead. Please watch for upcoming plans as we roll into summer.

Wrap It Up with a Great Special Sale!

The Presbyterian Women Used Book Sale will be wrapping up this Sunday (6/9) in the Family Life Center. To grab your attention one last time, they'll be offering a paper bag full of books or games for only $1! Please help support the mission work of our Presbyterian Women by enjoying this great sale.

Plans for This Sunday

Our sermon this week is titled "A House Divided." Why does it feel like our society is coming apart at the seams? Join us this Sunday (6/9) at 9am as we explore 1 Samuel 8:4-20 and Mark 3:20-35 (click for links). Discover how a divided house cannot stand and how God is the only lasting foundation for a flourishing society. We look forward to seeing you, and be sure to stay for our Coffee Fellowship hour immediately following our worship service.

> This week our Joyful Noise group will be leading us in "House of the Lord." (Click the title for a video link to help you become more familiar.) Service recordings will be available on our website and Facebook page about an hour after completed.

We'll Miss You!

Our friends Dave and Cassie Griffin will soon be moving to Madison, and we'll be sharing our fond farewells this Sunday (6/9). Their family has been a part of our church family for 18 years and involved in many areas of service during that time. We'll certainly miss them and send them all our hopes and prayers for their future!

Time to Dust Off Your Bike

Sunday Afternoon Bike Rides are BACK! This Sunday (6/9) at 4pm, everyone's invited to meet at Green Isle Park (off Green Ave. - 1st parking lot to right) to ride the East River Trail for an hour of great exercise with church friends. Starting spots will rotate each Sunday. Get out that old bike and join the fun! Watch for more locations and details each week.

Have You Started This Special Journey?

The Bible in 90 Days challenge began last weekend. Thanks to the 22 people have joined in so far! You can still sign up and get a reading plan sheet at the Welcome Desk at church. By investing as little as 30 minutes a day, you can read the Bible cover to cover. You'll witness the grand narrative of God's great story unfold before you. Pastor Luke will be your guide offering "waypoints" throughout the 90-day journey to check your progress and discuss what you've been reading. Hope you'll join the challenge!

Have You Registered for VBS Yet?

We have a great Vacation Bible School week planned for July, and we'd love to have your children join us. It'll be an amazing undersea adventure called "Scuba Diving into Friendship with God" where your kids will experience the ever-flowing, never-ending love of God from July 21-25. Share the information with neighbors, grandchildren, and friends. Click HERE (or visit our website) to register your kids to attend or to volunteer to help during the event. The first 15 families to register receive a free copy of the music!

Welcome Our Newest Members!

Last Sunday we officially welcomed the four newest members of our church family. They are Jan Howard (left, with her husband, Terry), Kevin and Jodie Kloehn, and Gail Montero. Be sure to say "HI" when you see them around!

How Does Your Garden Grow?

Our Judy Allan Memorial Garden is returning for it's 15th summer! Thanks to all planters who helped get things started last Thursday evening. Now we need volunteers to help with watering and weeding all through the summer. Talk with Debbie or Kevin Spiegel for details. You can also click HERE to help with a financial donation. Please help with another year of this amazing project!

P.W. "On the Go" Less Than 2 Weeks Away

Plans are in the place for another great summer of Presbyterian Women "On the Go!" This year's visits to historical sites will begin on Tuesday (6/18) with a trip to Hazelwood Historical House (1008 S. Monroe). They'll carpool from church at 12:15pm for a 1pm tour. Post-tour dessert is planned at the historic "Depot." Please R.S.V.P. to Susan Leiber (920-819-3430).

Our 175th Celebration Update!

> As part of our 175th Jubilee, we'd like to display pictures of the weddings and baptisms held here. Please lend us your pictures (we promise to return them). Add the date plus names of the bride and groom or parents and baby. We'll copy them and put our picture board together this summer. Please turn your photos into the church office no later than July 15. Help us celebrate these happy occasions at FUPC!

> Last Sunday, Kevin Spiegel lead us through the latest time period of our history journey (1990-97). Be sure to check out the big poster board out front and the ongoing timeline down the wall of our Sanctuary for ongoing highlights.

> We appreciate your help so far! Please continue to help identify and date old church photos on the table in the Family Life Center. We're also still looking for any church history treasures like old church-related photos, documents, videos, or other special memories you may have. We promise to make copies and return them safely.

*Contact Dawn Picard or Mark Young with any ideas, suggestions, or questions about our anniversary activities and plans!

Sharing the Love

Lots of church family, neighbors, and friends wrapped around the parking lot last evening to share in our latest monthly Agape Drive-Thru Dinner. As always, we really thank our amazing team of volunteers who share the love by preparing the food, packing it all together, and serving it on behalf of our church family. Our next Agape Drive-Thru is planned for July 3.

Soggy Basement Update

As you may have heard, we discovered some serious sump pump issues last week in our lower level. The recent heavy rain and the failing pump led to lots of unfortunate flooding throughout much of our basement. A lot of work has been done over the past 10 days, and lots of progress is being made. Let's all hope and pray for everything to be dry and "back to normal" soon.

Do You Know About the Presbyterian Pantry?

The Presbyterian Pantry offers support to our neighbors who need help with food. It's coordinated by the Green Bay Presbyterian Church (where it's housed) and by our church family, and we're looking for new volunteers to learn and help. First, you can drop off nonperishable food items in the wooden cupboard in our Family Life Center each month. The targeted food for June is one and two pound bags of rice. Second, you can join our pantry team on the 2nd and 4th Mondays (6/11 & 25 - morning hours) to help fill grocery sacks for distribution. If you'd like to help or just learn more, please contact Julie Mackey (920-271-8341) or Susan Leiber (920-819-3430) for more information. Thanks for your support!
