Monthly Milestones | JANUARY 2023

Hello and Happy January!

As we reflect on our 20th anniversary, we are immensely grateful for you and your support. Together we are partners in helping to make a difference in the lives of others and the autism community. From all of us at Milestones, thank you.

We hope you have been able to recharge a bit over the winter break. Self-care is important for everyone, and especially for those of us who care for others -- children, family, friends and community members.

This month we are proud to be able to focus our attention on training for behavioral health care workers. Please take note of the free training described below taking place on January 25. Our goal is to create trusted, mental health connections for families of color to help strengthen resilience across our community. Help us by sharing the workshop information with your networks.

Wishing you all a happy, healthy 2023!

Milestones Autism Resources, in collaboration with the ADAMHS Board of Cuyahoga County, is presenting a behavioral healthcare training workshop focused on addressing caregiver support disparities and improving outcomes for individuals in marginalized communities.

Milestones Education Assistant on The Autism Outreach Podcast

Our own Carly Millis Jalowiec sat down with Rose Griffin of ABA Speech to talk about her late autism diagnosis at age 30, the difference in autistic presentation in females, and the issue of masking. This is such an important topic right now as more and more girls and young women seek a diagnosis, and as providers are trying to keep up with the demand.
