Join the Kindness Day Committee!
Do you like spreading kindness? We want your help to make Kindness Day 2020 special. Kindness day is a yearly celebration of something that happens every day at Brandeis. This year, it will look a little different, but we will continue the tradition of coming together to spread and celebrate kindness. We are looking for peers who are excited to help us plan and implement the 11th annual kindness day. We welcome students who are both on and off-campus this semester. Brandeis Department of Theater Arts AUDITIONS!
The Laramie Project
Written by Moisés Kaufman and the Members of the Tectonic Theater Project
Directed by David R. Gammons
After careful consideration, we have decided to produce one show in the fall, The Laramie Project by Moisés Kauffman in a digital format. All rehearsals and performances will be virtual.
Audition Date: Saturday, September 5th, 2:00-4:30pm (EST)
Tentative Callbacks: Sunday, September 6th, 2:00-5:00pm (EST)
(Actors must be available for the entirety of callbacks.)

CGES Online: Authors in Conversation V - Cornelia Funke and Kerstin Zilm

Two German authors are living their dream in California. Cornelia Funke, one of Germany's most successful children's authors worldwide, has lived in Malibu since 2005. The fantastic worlds she creates top the New York Times’ bestseller list, have sold 20 million copies and been translated into 37 languages. Kerstin Zilm, an independent producer and radio reporter, moved to Los Angeles in 2003, founded her own production company, soundslikerstin, and wrote a book about her arrival in California. The Jews are Coming (Ha-Yehudim Baim) is an Israeli Academy Award-winning satire now in its fourth season, airing on Kan 11, one of the official channels of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation. The sketch comedy covers the history of the Jewish people from biblical times to the present, from Moses to Barbie and everything in between. Join our associate director Dr. Shayna Weiss for a lively conversation with the show's creators, Natalie Marcus and Asaf Beiser. The conversation will also feature clips from the new season, never before translated for an English speaking audience!

Joyful Rosh Hashanah Family Services
Saturday, September 19, 2:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Your invitation awaits to join the BJEP community’s all welcoming, inclusive and joyful service for High Holiday Family Services, from the comfort and safety of your home. Participate in community, find meaning in the prayers, sing loudly, learn more and reflect on the year as a family. BJEP’s Jewish Sunday School High Holiday family services integrate tradition and creativity, and we welcome the Brandeis community to join us.
Services run a little over an hour. RSVP/Zoom details sent one hour before services, along with link to Siddur (prayer reference sheet) which will be shared on screen as well. On Rosh Hashanah, in lieu of a Kiddush on site, we invite our guests to welcome the New Year with a glass of wine or juice, apples and honey, challah and or food item of your choosing, immediately following the service.
