CJHS selling Vidalia
onions as fundraiser
Carrollton Junior High School is selling Vidalia onions to raise money for the school.
The price for a 10-pound bag is $15. W
orried you might not use the onions before they go bad?
Keep them cool, dry and separated. Here are some great storage tips:
* Store them in the refrigerator, wrapped separately in a paper towel.
* Store them in the legs of clean, sheer pantyhose. Tie a knot between each onion and cut above the knot when you want one. Hang in a cool, dry, well ventilated area.
* On elevated racks or screens, not touching, and in a cool place.

Free concert at Mabry
Center
to feature CHS,
Statesboro ensembles
A free concert produced by the renowned Statesboro Youth Chorale to be held this weekend will feature not only performers from the program's high school age ensembles, but members of Carrollton High School's own Show Choir.
The concert will be held this Saturday at 6:30 p.m. at the Mabry Center for the Arts on the Carrollton High School campus.
The collaboration was made possible thanks to an inquiry by Tim Chapman, superintendent of the Carrollton Cultural Arts Center, who formerly worked with the Statesboro program when he was the director of the Averitt Center for the Arts in Statesboro. Chapman contacted Carrollton High School to see if it would host the free concert and join in the performance.
"Collaborating artists across the state is the perfect way to share talents, ideas, and resources," said Chapman. "I am thrilled that Carrollton High School is willing to host the Averitt Center for the Arts Youth Chorale Show Choir. It will be a treat!"
"We are looking forward to spending the day with the Statesboro Youth Chorale," said Tommy Cox, director of the Carrollton High School Performing Arts program. "Any time we can expose our students to a master class setting like this, we are expanding their overall experience for the better. I anticipate a great day of fun, networking and showing off our excellent show choir. This is a wonderful opportunity for our students and a great night of entertainment for our community."
