Virginia Department of Transportation wants to hear from you regarding the intersection of Route 301 (Chamberlayne Road) at Hanover High School.

Congratulations, graduates!

Congratulations to the graduates of Hanover County's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Basic Class!


The class learned how to take care of their family and neighborhood before first responders arrive by practicing fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization and medical operations.

Visit the Voter Registration and Elections Office in the Wickham Building from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to cast your ballot.

Missing court record returned after 159 years

Look what's back after 159 years!


Hanover County's oldest court record, dating back to 1731, has returned home.


Hanover County Historical Society received the record back in February. They delivered the document to Circuit Court Clerk Frank D. Hargrove Jr., where it will be stabilized, scanned and preserved to become a permanent record at the Clerk’s Office.
