There is no downgrade in material - these are not cheap Gildan/Hanes/Jerzees/etc. hoodies. This is the same hoodie material from the same manufacturer we usually source our hoodies from. It's a midweight hoodie as well (8.5oz/yd²) which is a little thicker than an average hoodie.
