Spencer PD Collaborates with Open Sky for

Annual "Point in Time Count" Census

Spencer PD Sgt Norman Hodgerney teamed up with Open Sky Housing Team Lead, Ashley Leiton, for the Annual "Point in Time Count" census to try to document the number of homeless people currently living in Spencer.

After trekking through the snow-covered woods to campsites and tracking down those living in cars, 18 individuals were identified as homeless in Spencer. They were offered services, food and shelter from the cold.

Thank you, Spencer Police Department, for supporting our work and the unhoused population!

We would like to extend an additional thank you to Webster First Federal Credit Union for donating $2,500 to assist with Open Sky's work with the homeless community in Spencer.
