In August 2012, Anne Putnam, Vice President of  Fenimore Asset Management and FAM Funds announced that SALT was the recipient of a $250,000 Challenge Matching Grant.  Every dollar donated to SALT Unmet needs, would be matched.

To date, SALT and partners have raised $235,000.  We are now asking our supporters to assist in finishing this match, keeping the volunteer efforts going to meet unmet needs and get people back in their homes.  Every amount helps, please consider donating today, to help us raise the remaining $15,000!

While tens of millions are needed for the complete recovery of the region, SALT has set a funding goal of $3 million dollars to help bridge the gap between the funding that individuals have received and their unmet needs.  By leveraging our dollars with volunteer labor, skilled and general, plus utilizing donated building supplies and the ability to purchase supplies at reduced costs, these funds will be quadrupled or more in value.
