Dear Friends, We normally start this message with a happy topic...not so today. Several weeks ago, Ibrahim Meyers, a staple of the downtown scene delivering subs from Jimmy John's all over town, was struck by a car while on his bike. At last telling, Ibrahim is still in a medically-induced coma, while the bills pile up. Several of the Tate's staff took it upon themselves to organize a fundraiser for Ibrahim by designating tonight, Monday, June 27th as Ibrahim Night at Tate's Craft Cocktails. To make that happen, Eric Reinstadler, Beau Tate and Heather Owen will be donating all of the tips from their night to Ibrahim and his family. Matt and I will be matching whatever they earn tonight. Ibrahim has lots of friends, and most of them will show up at some point. Most of them don't have a large safety net when something bad happens. Ibrahim is one of the brightest stars in this firmament - always a smile and a good word for everyone. Tonight many of his coworkers and colleagues will visit us at some point in the evening, before or after their work, to show their support and try to make that net a little larger.
